This page describes the data this site actually keeps. It is not a claim about a separate analytics vendor or a certification.
Account
Creating an account stores your name, email address, and a scrypt hash of your password. The password itself is not stored. A session is a random token. The database stores a hash of that token, and the browser stores the token in an httpOnly cookie, with SameSite set to Lax. The cookie lasts 30 days. On a deployment that requires HTTPS cookies, the cookie is also marked Secure. Logging out deletes the cookie and the server session.
Designs and scores
While you are signed in, drafts of a challenge are saved with your account. A recorded submission stores the design, the server grading report, the score, and whether it passed. Interview attempts are stored separately from Learn progress. A class roster stores membership, assignment status, and those same server scores. There is no button that deletes your account. The person who operates this site can delete an account from the database.
Analyze uploads
A board file uploaded to Analyze is parsed in the request and then discarded. It is not written to the database and not written to disk. The request rejects files over the published size limit, and it does not execute the file. The review you see is computed from that request only.
What is not collected
This application does not include a third-party analytics package. Appearance (system, light, or dark) and tutorial progress are stored in your browser, not in the account database.
