Interview

Practice the reasoning hardware interviews actually test

Seven topics, drawn from the course. A sitting is one to five challenges, hints off, with an optional timer. After you submit, the report is the explanation: the rule, the measured value, and the limit. Learn stays available when you want the lesson first.

  • Skills

Each topic uses real course problems. The sitting lists the skills those problems practice.

  • Timing

Leave the timer off, or set 20 or 45 minutes. The clock stays visible while a problem is open.

  • After you submit

The score is the same grader as Learn. Failed checks name the next lesson. Nothing here is an AI score.

  1. PCB Fundamentals

Width, return current, and a stackup. The questions are about copper you can point at.

    • 6. Choose the Right Trace
    • 7. Give Current a Return Path
    • 11. Move to Four Layers
  2. Schematic Reasoning

A regulator, a protection path, and a gain network. The card tells you the pins. The measurement tells you if you followed it.

    • 8. Build a 3.3 V Supply
    • 9. Protect the Connector
    • 14. Design a Sensor Amplifier
  3. Power and Layout

The buck hot loop and a high-current path. Placement is the answer, not a shorter line on the screen.

    • 10. Lay Out a Buck Converter
    • 17. Carry 3 Amps Safely
  4. Analog and Mixed Signal

Filtering, a reference, and where a clock is allowed to run. A split ground is not the default repair.

    • 14. Design a Sensor Amplifier
    • 15. Connect an ADC
  5. Board Debugging

Symptoms and authored panels. You match a panel to a cause, then change the circuit. The grader measures that repair.

    • 19. Find Why It Fails
  6. High-Speed Fundamentals

Pair skew, USB continuity, and aggressor spacing. These are layout constraints, not a field solver.

    • 12. Route a Differential Pair
    • 13. Add USB 2.0
    • 16. Route Fast Signals Under Constraints
  7. DFM and Manufacturing

Silk, courtyards, drills, and the copper around a hole. A circuit can be right and still be hard to build.

    • 18. Make It Manufacturable
